    Did you read it all FrankZappa? Thermal coal is at risk in Germany as well. As the cost of solar and wind comes down and as the cost of coal escalates, I would expect it to become uneconomic. The only reason the Germans are turning a profit with lignite is because it is cheaper than black coal, but once the disincentives kick in due to environmental considerations that won't be the case for much longer.
