Okay, I am now intrigued as to whether this contract is indeed profitable. If it is, big ticks for the company, if not, then...well I'll tell you what I think about it then.

Kos's comment in the announcement doesnt necessarily give me the confidence to say that this contract is profitable because there are so many ways that profitability can be construed. They really should be able to talk GPM on something like this if it was really profitable.

But to give the benefit of the doubt, I will call Kos and ask this very simple question:
Is the price paid by the customer bigger than combined, 1)the cost of supply of the raw product coal, 2) total cost of running the plant to produce the required contract tonnage, 3) the cost of handling and transport to the customer, 4) cost of royalties and financing costs, AND assuming that all costs are struck at commercial rates.
