So we pay a farmer with Carbon Credits for NOT doing anything (clearing land) ... but don't pay innovative new tech projects like Hazer for ACTUALLY reducing emissions?!?

And then we call it "Direct Action"?

You couldn't make this stuff up!!!

My point is that a system that rewards a farmer for sitting on his arse doing nothing over a company like Hazer actually reducing emissions.... is broken.

Sooner or later something as to give.

Do you think Labor Premier and Liberal Ministers won't be lining up for photo op at the new Hazer Plant and proudly proclaiming our new carbon negative technology?

They will recognise the value in what Hazer is doing because they are actually doing something valuable!

Pressure will be on to put a $$$ value on that value.

Aren't we supposed to aiming for Hydrogen at $2 a kilo because abundant cheap Hydrogen will help us reduce emissions?

Why should a Carbon Negative process that produces Hydrogen not get an economic advantage over an emissions intensive process like Grey Hydrogen..... if the goal is to produce cheap LOW EMISSIONS Hydrogen?

Sooner or later the policy has to evolve to target the outcomes, not the politics.
