a good friend of mines wife had a bad car crash,two legs mangled when she got hit by a drunk driver,for five years she fought for compensation.
around the same time an overweight pollie in Canberra jumped on a hire bike against the operators advice that the bike wouldnt carry his weight,he fell off broke a finger and recieved $60k in compensation
my mates wife who ended up with one leg shorter than the other and a permanent limp received $25k. Go figure
