WTA Tech is great tech compared with the 50's tech which is similar and extant, but is prodigious and not versatile.

But WTA requires a complete rebuild of the power station to incorporate fluidized bed tech version 2 using waste heat.

All for a theoretical 20% efficiency @ 100% WTA use ?

Also it MUST be next to the coal source because it is not a versatile teck,,, you can not get the wet lignite to a WTA version 1 or version 2 station without the risk of self combustion, if the station is any distance from the mined coal source.

For a WTA fit out,,, you gotta take the power station off line,,, turn it off for 6 months,,build it a bit better,,,

OZ does not have the reserve base load power to even consider turning ONE off at a time.

( Version 1 is what they all use now with all that,,''waste'' heat )

Waste heat is a paradox. All possible exhaust heat is utilized if you ask the power generators,,, to dry brown coal fast.

Best case with a complete rebuild using WTA tech is equal to the shandy proposal Coldry tech would offer just in phase 1of the Coldry rollout plan.

You see with WTA tech, there is no exothermic reactive ''over time'' benefit. because WTA is smash,,,lots and lotsa ''waste'' heat to powder powder,, Quick process just like they use at Loy Yang etc right now.

Coldry is the organic chemist's patented secret exothermic reactive herb and spice, known for over 100 yrs, but only utilized by Coldry.,,, time,, water,, a little ''waste heat''.

WTA is current tech.

Coldry is future tech available now.

Both will survive. Both have their specific uses.

WTA is not a Brown Coal transportable option so is therefore specific non versatile teck, and therefore only partially competitive against Coldry in the future if a brand new brown coal base load station was or is to be built in OZ.

Chinese don't seem to be embracing it, and they commission a new coal fired power station about,,,, every week ?

As a comparison,, WTA and it's buddy the stack scrubber,, could be compared to the new only ( no retrofit ) ''adblue'' diesel teck, where you use heaps of urea based additive to convert CO2 and it's oxides of Nitrogen, into NH3 ( ammonia) which is then pumped thru a cat to encourage nitrogen and water vapour emmissions and Coldry would be the much cheaper retro fit available 10% lpg shandy conversions available to all diesel engines that almost turbocharge the diesel engine and clean it's exhaust with clean burn stoichimetry,whilst increasing power output and fuel economy.
