    The carbon tax has added very little to energy costs.
    For example electricity has risen in price by around 50% in many parts of the country over the past few years and only about 9% of that is due the carbon tax component.
    Here in Queensland we are about to get hit with a 22% incease in electricity charges just for this year which has nothing to do with the carbon tax.
    If and when the carbon tax is removed I bet you power prices will not fall one cent.
