Surely you don't think the movers and shakers in the market as as naive as some on HC??!! The details of this "carbon tax" were well enough telegraphed in the popular press. The reality of it is pretty much already priced in. There will be no massive reaction.

And seriously, Jacky123, CCC operates in South Africa, Botswana and potentially Kenya. It has NO operation/production of coal in Australia. An Australian tax on carbon, cars or meat pies has no impact in these countries, and therefore no impact on CCC bottom line.

Personally I think the Carbon Tax is a load of rubbish - and the "bold new initiative" that Australia does means nothing on the global scale, but seriously, folks, the effect on CCC if anything will be positive - it's now operating in a lower tax environment compared to ASX peers.
