Mark, don't you realise that, no matter what the outcome of this is constitutionally, the people don't want carbon tax any more than they wanted work choices.
Unbelievably, it seems to escape the grey matter of lefties that Gillard is travelling down the same road as Howard in his last term and very likely will face the same, if not worse, political anhilation as Howard.
She has had balance of power in both houses in her favour and she has used it for her own agenda and not the people's, imo.
