P.S. The impact may not be as drastic as some of us expect because just LIKE THE GST a lot of places (Coles and Woolies I'm looking at you) started raising prices quite a few months back so that they wouldn't have an open rebellion on the due date, boiling the frog and all that. For example orange juice has gone from $4.99 to $6.38 since around January, butter has gone from $3.50 to $4.70. I'm sure there are plenty more examples.
