Loy Yang Power must now face that it is no longer business as usual regarding cheap lignite.

Dual Gas is no competition for COLDRY ,it requires natural gas 15% in its operations and large quantities of water ,plus higher sulphur emissions ,and revenue from its operations does not go to GEAC.
Doubt that it will get full approval and then it will not become financially viable.

DFT is the key ,and government guarantee to LYP that it will BUY BACK its first year free allocated permits to the value of 990 million $,and a cash of $250 million that are CONDITIONAL on LYP submitting a report that will include ways to reduce carbon emissions .

Time to act on the MOU with ECT and build a coldry plant for local use.

IMO a local plant will happen before an export one.

Fortunately Tincom do not have exclusivity for local use and DFT is under control by ECT.

400 MILLION TO recieve over 2 billion dollars ,even if ABBOTT gets in ,even CEO of LYP has admitted that this tax is here to stay.
