    "The bottom line is, why should we dig deep to protect businesses that are polluting the atmsophere and endangering our future, no matter where they are on the planet?"


    Supposing all believe in human induced climate change, can you please explain how Australia can make more than the tinest iota of difference?

    If we emit just over 1% of world carbon emissions, could you please explain how even a 10% drop in Australia's emissions will make any difference to the world scene?

    It would be like an ant trying to dig a hole to lay house foundations. And yet some Australians stupidly plough on thinking they can lead the world. Instead, we must be the laughing stock of the world.

    How carbon tax supporters can actually keep a straight face when, with religious fervour, they talk about saving the planet with this potentially disasterous tax is beyond me.
