Bacci, there will be a massive ripple effect from this carbon tax, IMO, and it won't be pretty.

Ms Gillard thinks all will be dandy after she brings it in and people realise they won't be worse off. But, like so many labor bungles, I don't think they have really thought this through adequately.

Obviously the unions are waking up to the potential job losses that carbon tax could induce. That will only anger voters further.

I think there will be other negative ripple effects that haven't been thought of yet, but nevertheless, Ms Gillard persists with it just as she as stubbornly resists Nauru as an alternative to her continual welcome mat to all and sundry who turn up on our shores in a boat.

And all this financial pain and enormous admin costs to businesses (which will be passed on) to make an almost irrelevant difference to Australia's carbon reduction.

IMO, we are being treated as total fools, but thankfully, most Aussies eventually wake up. Once the hip pocket is hit, they will rise up together as they did with Howard's work choices.
