    Instead of fiddling at the edges of the problem and destroying jobs and businesses in Australia for no measureable gain in CO2 reduction, why not simply reward third world countries for not buring their forests for subsistence agriculture? This activity alone contributes 30% of total GHG's per year. The activity can be monitored by satellites and measured quite easily. I guess something as straight forward as this leaves no room for the government to raise new taxes.
