The offending company is charged carbon tax based on its CO2 emmissions. I still don't see how this makes a difference whether they use bio-degradable packaging or not. The only possible benefit I see is maybe CCN will pick up extra government funding for green initiatives. The whole carbon tax philosophy is based around incentives to replace dirty energy by making it cost-ineffective. I personally think it's a waste of time but again that's just me.
