    Well lets' see:

    NAB - a bank like all others in OZ that prides itself on being able to pass on any increases in its costs to its customers. So a 'green tax' for them is meaningless as they can pass on any costs. Second any carbon tax which will fall directly for them will be small. They can also get in on the ground floor to get information for themselves to trade any instruments that might evolve.


    Qantas - an airline that will get hit hard by any direct tax, but like the banks due to their domination of the market here can pass on any imposed tax directly to their customers.

    Toyota Australia - probably trying to get in the good graces of the government so that they can get some more subsidies to continue production in OZ - shouldn't be here in the first place due to high costs. A way to offset the addtional costs imposed by the government.

    ETC, ETC, ETC.

    IMO just a bunch of comapnies selling out for a piece of the pie that will become smaller.
