Tar bush sheep supplement alludes to reduce methane emissions

“I have found an optimal inclusion level of E. glabra which can reduce methane production by about one third while not adversely affecting general rumen fermentation,” Ms Li says.

Enteric methane produced during rumen fermentation in ruminants such as sheep, accounts for two thirds of Australia’s agricultural emissions, and 10 per cent of national emissions.
