I JUST received my latest electricity bill with the new tariffs which now exclude the carbon tax (Albury Origin Energy). See your ad here
The main tariff was only reduced by 4 per cent, and just 2 per cent for off-peak.
The politicians continually said the increasing cost of electricity was because of the carbon tax and when the carbon tax was removed the electricity prices would be substantially lower.
May I be so bold as to suggest that 4 per cent is not much of a price decrease at all.
I think the voting public has been hoodwinked by the politicians, and further, consumer confidence will not be improved much by a miserly 4 per cent reduction in electricity prices.
