@moondoong; I know firsthand of cases where Aussie Battlers have just had to grin and bear what courts have handed down - that after unsuccessfully seeking the legal aid slashed and burned by this greed-serving government.
In one instance a mother of three youngsters lost custody of her kids because her family could only afford 'the basics' while her husband's parents bankrolled one of Australia's highest rated SC/QC teams costing some $3 million. Devastated, that mother is now even being cheated of access granted by the courts because her family cannot afford to lodge appeals - she's now working through her local MP!
The sight of convicted child sex abuser, George Pell, being back-slapped by his political mates including John Howard and Tony Abbott and this latest decision to grant him an appeal to the Full Bench of the High Court has sent a dagger through the heart of Australian's belief in our judicial and political systems.
