I don't defend Pell I defend the rule of law.
Everyone is entitled to the presumption of innocence.
If convicted, everyone is entitled to utilise the legal system to appeal their conviction.
The law should do justice to all with no fear or favour nor punish anyone unjustly.
I defend the rule of law and will respect the decision of the High Court in this matter whatever the outcome. It's the final arbiter of cases in Australia and that's all we have.
If people don't respect the decision of the Court the alternative is kangaroo courts, lynchings etc.
