    image.jpg During the week someone  expressed doubt about the use of cardiocel in CABG - Coronary Artery ByPass Graft. Understandable that many would have difficulty in understanding how a piece of flat patch could be used as a vessell or conduit just like a vein from a patients leg in heart  bypass.
    I attached this picture to show just how easy it is to crimp or stitch a patch to form a conduit.
    The equipment to do this is readily available in the market. As Dr. Chick explains about 3 mins into this video they can manufacture those conduits in Perth. He also states there are around 385,000 CABG annually in the USA alone.

    The suitability of bovine pericardium to build vessells is well documented however no other materials prior to cardiocel have had all of the strong characteristics that would make it the go- to solution.

    Yet another huge market and with FDA filing due in 2018 we can expect to hear about trials leading to that before long.
