I think you can rest easy. There are lots of things that you can't test in a lab. There are things you have to wait 9 years for data about. Tensile strength is not such a thing. It is perhaps the most mundane of all the patches properties, testable inside of minutes. The product wouldn't have made it two feet let alone out the door if it wasn't performing to specification. And they are completely abreast of what those specifications need to be.
