I haven't even read the original post as I have the poster on ignore although I can guess from the replies what it involved and what the posters intentions (likely) were.
Posters like this thrive on attention, especially negative attention, don't fall for the trap of providing it through engagement. Ignoring ill founded, irrelevant comments is almost always the best policy.
