Many (many) years ago when i was a child in my hometown there was still a doctor who didn't believe in antibiotics and prescribed sulphur drugs for infections. Doctors are people and there are some ratbags amongst them too. If your person didn't like the product that is one thing but "hasn't heard of it" says it all.
