There are a huge number of drugs that offer cardioprotection, but very few (one) that offers cardioprotection + broad anticancer activity together. There is no need for new cardioprotective only drugs when dexrazoxane is not being used by clinicians. The key to success (see the triangle report) is to offer both cardioprotection and anticancer together.
Everyone at RAC is working as hard as they can to get the trial underway as soon as possible.
