Me too. The way medicine works is too difficult for my puny scientist brain to understand.
In defence of the clinicians (not much of a defence) dexrazoxane is not on the guidelines and oncologists pretty much just follow the guidelines these days. With nobody able to pay for the Phase 3 trials required to change the guidelines nothing changes. Lots of good treatments get lost because of this problem.
