    I'm leaning towards this reason as well @Pecks

    I speculate that the other party doesn't want the deal announced until either upcoming trial receives full approval or the first patient is dosed.

    That would explain both the extended blackout period and Dr Pete's 'rectifying' comment.

    And if indeed this is the case JDP may even win his $3 bet
