There is basically no market for a cardioprotective supportive care drug. Oncologists just won’t use them and insurance companies won’t pay for them unless the oncologist is planning to exceed the current guidelines for lifetime anthracycline dose limits and they almost never do this these days.
The only way to change this is make the cardioprotective drug an anticancer drug that can be added on top of the anthracycline treatments. This changes everything.
