Whilst FTO appears to do some heavy lifting for overcoming resistance this doesn't necessarily explain why Bisantrene is so potent against metastasis and EMD AML. Perhaps this is partly explained by the following:

Seems to be a number of moving parts that makes Bisantrene extra-ordinary. The CPACS MOA is a bit more complex and not as simply as taking chemo with aspirin and a glass of milk. Looking forward to RC220 tox study completion and commencement of P1.

Boff, Zan is so effective in metastatic cancer and EMD AML (essentially metastatic AML) because of the aberrant expression of FTO in these cancer types.

Hallmarks of metastatic cancer are growth, proliferation, invasion and migration, self-renewal, avoiding cell death and immune system, among other things.

Many lines of evidence supporting FTOs role in these cellular functions in cancer.
