Thought of the day, when is Race Oncology going to change its name to Race Cardio-Oncology?

Looking at the cardio protect MOA in a different light based on what we know. Just a bit of fun whilst we wait for the 4C update in the next couple of weeks.

1. Bisantrene prevents Doxorubicin induced Cardiac Fibrosis.

2. Bisantrene inhibits Thromboxane A2 synthesis at a rate of 30-50% and serotonin at 30-60%

4. How is this cardio protective?

5. Does it also impact on anti-cancer effect?

Whilst FTO appears to do some heavy lifting for overcoming resistance this doesn't necessarily explain why Bisantrene is so potent against metastasis and EMD AML. Perhaps this is partly explained by the following:



Seems to be a number of moving parts that makes Bisantrene extra-ordinary. The CPACS MOA is a bit more complex and not as simply as taking chemo with aspirin and a glass of milk. Looking forward to RC220 tox study completion and commencement of P1.
