Actually that is not true. Up until the late fifties early sixties there were approximately 160 executions every year in the UK. It did not deter anyone that is why it was abolished.

Could you tell me how many out of that 160 who were executed, recommitted a murder,or any other crime?
If the answer is"None".Then we have less crime.
