Thanks for that info, which is very interesting. But there is one thing that still concerns me about these figures all due to the machinations of the legal 'profession' of course. And we all know of the strong influence of the legal beagles in the USA.

I wonder if all jurisdictions classify manslaughter, as opposed to murder, in the same manner. Is it possible that many of those that are classified as murder in some States could be classified as manslaughter in other States? Or, maybe, some of these jurisdictionsof may have a higher tendency towards 'plea bargain' which reduces the level of misdemeanours.


I am always very wary in the manner in which some jurisdictions classify various misdemeanours to justify their political masters. Especially if they look too good to be true!
