Well Yak, I think it isn't Hobson's or anybody else's choice...it's your's, and your's alone. By the way, it's spelt Mum here, not "Mom"....did you say in a previous post you'd beem here 30 years??
I think you may have missed the point I was trying to make....you can't serve two masters. Were you born in the USA or are you from further afield? No offence, but I'm having trouble painting the full picture here, not only of you, but the other members of Snook's fan club.
You all rush to each others defence should anybody bother/dare to challenge the very pro Israeli stance you all take so frequently.
As with Snooks, I commend you for the courage of your convictions.... But I ask again, where does Australia come within your priorities?....Is it Australia first and foremost, with allegiance to our flag to the exclusion of all others? (Sounds a lot like marriage doesn't it?). The answer I think is no.
And don't bother coming back with all that rhetoric re Catholics and the Vatican etc., etc.. That argument doesn't cut any ice either. A mere distraction from the topic at hand, as was the riddle.
Tell me, does it strike you as odd that I don't know the religious persuasions of any posters on Hot Copper, excepting of course that of Snooks and his band of loyal followers..... Why is that so, you might ask? Because they don't ram it down everybody's throat, ad infinitum....and what's more, nobody cares.
Hope you are having a pleasant weekend, sitting on the fence and pondering your loyalties. I sincerely hope you are never called upon to show where they lie, should Australia and Israel enter into conflict, as I suspect that when you raise your colours, the Star of David will feature prominently.
