The 203D Notice has the signature of the Browns, they are the 2nd largest shareholder. There is your written proof. The signatures on the 203D notice add up to approx 10% of shareholdings of the company. The top20 holds 40% of the company, so this motion has 25% of the top20 so far that we know about in writing. The remaining 60% of the company is held by people outside of the Top20. That consists of people with ~5million or less shares (some may actual have more if they are spread across different accounts etc - so these may actually be Top20 technically).
However, I would like to see further information provided as to how the remaining 30% of top20 shareholders feel about this action though. I also would like to hear a more detailed explanation from gfwil as to when and why he has had a change of direction. The previous 4-5 posts he wrote were somewhat critical of current announcements/management but seemed generally supportive of keeping current management/board as is, from how I interpreted them. I am supportive of this current action occuring to be clear.
