How about we first start weening people of V8's and large 4 wheel drives.

These vehicles are not only the greatest fuel guzzlers but the greatest killer on our roads. Most 4wd and V8 owners buy them for the prestige and grunt factor and not for practicality or safety reasons.

Not only are 4wds fuel guzzlers but they are dangerous on the roads as the impede other drivers views and in accidents there is greater potential of getting injured as they are prone to roll and injuries are far more severe when they hit trees as the vehicle mass is greater and more devatating.

I don't need to mention the dangers of "P" platers and V8s. Every week a "P" platers and young drivers are killed due to speed, high powered engines and lack of driving experience.


P.S. If people don't stop buying these vehicles on their own accord the future resale values of the cars will. Ford Territory and V8S are plummeting in value so trade them early before you lose any more. Bring in a hoon and 4wd tax also I reckon.
