Cyclists really need to take responsibility for them selves...they put them selves into a high risk environment so they need to be much more conscious of the risk....they cannot just "assume" a motorist has seen them or in fact will make additional room for them.
I encounter these Lycra clad lunatics daily, speeding between slowing traffic at intersections, speeding between slowing traffic and parked cars.
...Riding side by side taking up whole lanes without any consideration for other road users...and that's beside the fools speeding along shared pedestrian paths. Some of these shared zones have signs with speed limits on them but most cyclists ignore them as they obviously believe they are above being instructed what to do in the name of safety.
I realize it is not all cyclists that are DH's, just as not all Muslims are Terrorists, but all are tarred...
