My take is that Labor had planned an April 12 election, which would allow the court proceedings to occur and Labor would not be compelled to make a decision until after the election. Assuming Labor wins, of course. They would not give a hoot if they loose the election. Decision handed over to the coalition.
Cyclone Alfred blew these plans away. Interesting to see the response from the Attorney General.
