The State Governments of NSW and Victoria have hadtheir heads in the sand during this time, denying the fact that they needed toproceed with policies that would provide them with practical solutions to avoidfuture blackouts and more importantly job losses as energy becomes moreexpensive.

Victorian Energy Minister D’ Ámbrosio seems to thinkthat imports by sea is the answer to address the upcoming shortfall- at whatcost and who will have to foot the bill to this expensive option- as usual theusers and taxpayers.

The State and Federal officials were asked (justbefore the Christmas break) to work with AEMO on solutions to avoid the loominggas shortage, anticipated before 2028, with instructions to report back to theministers by March 2025.”

In my post #78077804 28/7/25,see extract above originally given the grey tile treatment as the moderators were led to believe by somebody that it infringed copyright, yet it was my own work. Wellin the second and third Paragraph in my post have now been confirmed in anarticle published in the Australian (9/3/25)

Business EditorPerry Williams reported that the Energy and Climate Change Council would move to enhance powers to the Australian Energy Market Operator.

Evidently the plan is to have AEMO act as an anchor buyer for Andrew Forest’s Squadron Energy &Viva Energy.

AEMO would act as both buyer and seller from the import terminals (Smells of Subsidies in the long term which is burden on ALL TaxPayers).

State Minister Ms D’ Ambrosio said it was in the national interest to pursue this plan, an issue that is impacting Australia’s long term energy solution. Wrong minister it is an attempt to hide Labours failure to allow exploration and development of projects in a timely manner.

Should this get the green light have all tax payers will have to foot the bill for their ( Labour Victoria and New South Wales with the blessing of most TEAL Independents) costly mistakes.
