I don't think there is any maximum, it would be considered on a case by case basis. My rudimentary understanding is that if one party seeks an adjournment, the other party is consulted, and then put to the court. If the Government wanted one, and Advent did not agree, it would be left to Justice Jackson to rule on the merit. Given the history, he would be unlikely to grant one on a frivolous basis. Only
5 days left until all is revealed. We will be better placed then to look at the timetable in the context of the election.
We haven't been this close to NOPTA approval since 15/4/21.
