Was what I said inaccurate in some way? 90% of the stock were in favour of the deal, indicating that atost 10% felt they were short changed. Sure, OZL would have paid less than the full value of the assets, but if they didn't then they would be wasting money.
If the assets were worth remotely what people on here continued to assert, and frankly whinge about, then the institutional holders wouldn't have sold out. They were smart enough to realise AVB needed to raise bulk capital at unfavourable conditions (compared to OZL at least) and adjusted their valuations accordingly.
As I said, I would happily sell my OZL holdings for a comparable deal to what AVB got. So please, 'educate' me. You and your friends have just gotten emotionally invested thinking you had picked your ticket to riches instead of investing pragmatically.
