I'd prefer if they bought back 5% share capital each year for the next 3 years; that would get rid of the shorters of the stock pretty quickly and but a solid base under the share price; a company that did this very effectively was GUD holdings in the late 90's the share price was just over a dollar; with in 5 years it was 10 dollars; in fairness they had good management; but often a good company needs good share capital management as well to help stack the odds in it's favour..
