Cash Inflow Trajectory

The past three 4C lodgements by MIG show quarterly Receipts from Customers (RFC) of:

    June 2105 $2.2 million (up 100% QOQ)
    Sept 2015 $3.7 million (up 68% QOQ)
    Dec 2015 $5.4 million (up 45% QOQ)

Clearly the trajectory is very strongly upwards but I wanted to use that information to project what RFC might be in the March 2016 quarter.  So this is what I came up with........

First I noted that the average monthly RFC in each quarter was:

June 2015 $0.733 million (call that $0.7 million)
Sept 2015 $1.233 million (call that $1.2 million)
    Dec 20015 $1.8 million

....and then I assumed that those averages were the actual RFC for the middle month in each quarter, ie May, August and November 2015.

And then I just extrapolated to fill in the gaps to approximate RFC for successive months over the period, and got this......

    April 2015  $0.5 million
    May 2015 $0.7 million
    June 2015 $0.9 million........................TOTAL JUNE QTR $2.2 million
    July 2015 $1.1 million
    Aug 2015 $1.2 million
    Sept 2015 $1.4 million..........................TOTAL SEPT QTR $3.7 million
    Oct 2015 $1.6 million
    Nov 2015 $1.8 million
    Dec 2015 $2.0 million...........................TOTAL DEC QTR $5.4 million

and keeping that methodology to project forwards you get RFC for the March 2016 quarter of:

    Jan 2016 $2.2 million
    Feb 2016 $2.4 million
    Mar 2015 $2.6 million

...for a quarterly total of $7.2 million assuming no acceleration or deceleration in the quantum increase per month in RFC.

That should keep the market happy if achieved.
