Meh.
I'm a saver, always have been. I'm not worried in the least.
I'm about 50% in cash. the last 4-5 years more or less my savings account has just barley kept up with inflation. Obviously, in the immediate near term it will not. but near-medium term its anyone's guess.... we are just as likely (i actually think more than likely) to see deflation than even more inflation over the next 3-5 years.
If you're in cash for the next few years, worst case is you lose 4-5% due to inflation. Best case.... the sky's the limit. What if housing drops 30-50%? what if stock market drops 80%? the upside to having cash is tremendous compared to the risks.... its a risk/reward bet I'm happy to take considering the state of world economies at the moment.
