I pulled out early as impatient with low offer of SFR buying out MOD then later a deal was done at a higher price so I should have held on longer , in this case unlike with an exploration company like MOD there is even more reason to tell the aggressor to sod off as Aveo has the upper hand as it has positive cash flow plus an offer that is already most likely under book value and therefore Aveo should be ambivalent to being pushed into accepting a low ball offer under $2.50
The Achilles heal for Aveo , is a management team who have proved to be exemplary in under performing on behalf of shareholders so hard to see them jumping any hurdles or snatching victory out of the jaws of defeat , reminds me of the Aesops fable of a dog holding a lamb in its mouth as it swims the river then sees its reflection holding a lamb and drops its lamb to catch the reflection .
