I would doubt if this action of PFC's has any thing to do with Statoil...I have no doubt that it is simply a result of PFC believing that they have a valid claim against Macquarie's actions that, in themselves, have co-incidentally resulted in PFC, apparently, being in a financially parlous position..
If, PFC, have had to reduce their participating interest, then, that will be, I believe, simply a result of PFC management's incompetence.. After all is said and done, it should not be forgotten that PFC entered into all/any arrangements with Statoil on a purely voluntary basis and, if, as it appears, they have been trumped, have had more than ample time to secure alternative financial arrangements, elsewhere..
Who knows, PFC may have secured a franchise for Lobster Pots to trap Alaskan King Crabs! Perhaps that is where the money has gone??
