I am either stupid or.....
Why would they release a statement like this? Possible reasons:
1) There is a possibility MF can be held to account
2) They wish to distance themselves from MF becuase they know that the market doesn't trust AIM (of old)
3) As per (2) and they are looking to divest the company asap to get the best deal they can for the 'other interested' parties.
Are there any other possibilities?
I suspect that if the answer is (2), then there IS something to invest in.
Are they still wasting their time? Are they still to be held to account? What have they got to lose? Credibility? If HC is anything to go by - they are doing precisely the right thing.
Yes - I have my doubts - but I am trying to see this differently to see if it is different.
Any other ideas?
