With Ali Pay you see reviews from people stating they used the "pay after delivery" service which is splitit (and some opt to then also do the pay later option after receiving item which is splitit)....so no issues there as its being used in large volumes.

Tabby is different and all evidence I can find suggests that splitit is not a thing anymore.

Reading back through the Tabby reviews for some evidence of splitit by looking for key words "credit card," "authorization," "hold, "full amount."
(because if Splitits biggest complaint is people not understanding the hold of the full amount then people using tabby with a linked credit card would make the same complaint on tabby reviews)

Reading back is interesting.
Things for tabby seem to go really pear shaped end of 2023 and more so mid 2024.
- No/Poor fraud protection using tabby card and some fraudulent merchants. (merchant or Tabby responsibility)
- 2nd installment within a week (and not a month) later and therefore a late charge.
- Tabby declining purchases in-store however Tabby app stating they have available tabby credit. (possibly an Ai involved assessing credit and/or people not understanding T&Cs about needing to pay off a certain amount of prior purchases to make further purchases)
- Tabby app saying purchase declined (and user trying again multiple times) However the purchase being approved and therefore customer being charged multiple times and very long refund times and process with proof of bank statements etc.
- Random charges to peoples account from peoples account being hacked and poor fraud protection.
- Early payments not being captured and people being charged installments after they have paid full amount (and then needing bank statements and long refund times)
- The addition of a monthly subscription fee whilst also experiencing all of the above to compound the frustration.

Seems like Tabby has made some poor decisions lately. Reviews read alot worse than anything Splitit has. (all taking into account that many bad reviews anywhere are the result of the user being misinformed and ignorant...i.e. stupid)

Will continue looking further back in time at Tabby reviews for key words to pin point the month I believe Splitit got phased out.
