Of course inflation is higher than suggested by the RBA in this country - the only people that dont see it is people with their heads buried in the sand or have no clue about what inflation is. Just ask any business where their costs have gone, even during the worst financial crisis in history. In either case, just look at the RBA's broad measure of money supply over the last 10yrs - has gone from around $440 odd bill to 1.26Trill. Hell, they increased it by a 'mere' 6% just since last september. No need to be einstein in figuring out where that 6% is going into.
