I think all banks are just as safe especially with the government guarantee till 1 feb 2012. Then guarantee is for $250k /Institution (what a silly rule - the govenment will still have the same liability!)
Ubank is owned by NAB. Watch the trick of having 2 SMSF a/cs with UBank so you always get the max rate.
