I am sure I have read that Clive paid $9 million in carbon tax. That is why he wanted to get rid of it and make it retrospective. He was going to use that money to repay the money taken from the Chinese account.
No he has gone cold on the retrospective bit!!
But mind you he maybe able to use his own money to pay back the Chinese.
