As they say, cash is king.....

But here is a simple scenario for you....

I buy a house for $100,000. Over 5 years, the interest costs me $50,000, but the rent only returns $40,000. I'm down $10,000 (cashflow). But the house is now worth $500,000.

Did it mean it was a bad investment?
